Nancy Kassner of Lincoln along with 145 intrepid travelers joined the Overseas Adventure Travels' 15-day small ship adventure, Untamed Norway and Svalbard, to the Arctic. They traversed 495 nautical miles and photographed 10 polar bears, seven whales, 50-plus walruses, reindeer, seals, an Arctic fox and hundreds of sea birds. The air temperature never went below 33 degrees, and they enjoyed 24 hours of sunshine. Even though they didn’t get to see the Northern Lights, they enjoyed the amazing wildlife. Even better, they never needed a night light to read the Cape Gazette.
